Genie in a Bottle: Aloe Vera Version

The creepy, spindly green leaves and the fact that it promotes itself as a juice with "crunchy pulp bits" really isn't what makes it sell. Because come on, really?
Aloe vera juice is a really random liquid of choice, yes. When people think aloe vera, they think of the gel they put on their sunburns, not their drink of choice. However, aloe vera juice is sweet without being overbearing, great for lovers of pulp, and FULL of health benefits. It detoxifies the bloodstream, stimulates the metabolism, aids digestion, increases circulation, and strengthens the immune system. You can usually find aloe vera juice at lesser known, unique grocery stores, Asian supermarkets, or organic/health food stores.
PROS: Tastes like grape juice (but better), great if you love pulp, comes in a HUGE bottle most of the time, inexpensive, and light.
CONS: Bad if you like pulp (it's full of it), has sugar content, harder to find, makes you need to pee.

Summer Nights in Capri

To soothe every sad soul, I'd recommend to each and every one of them a marvelous summer vacation to Capri. Sadly, many of us poor fools cannot afford that.
However, the lovely and whimsical chain store giant, Anthropologie, brings us a candle that conjures up swirls of Capri in your living room. The Capri Blue Volcano candle sells for about $12 (for the small size) or $28 (for the large size) and the scent lingers all day. With enough of an imagination and some shut-eye, images of crisp Mediterranean waters, white sand, black asphalt mountains in the distance, sun-drenched wine-soaked days, and a great white contrast will appear in your head.
PROS: Smells AMAZING. Doesn't induce headaches like many other usual candles.
CONS: Can be pricey.

The best hand cream EVER

I never really saw the point in using hand cream. I always thought, "Well, you have so many other body parts and skin surfaces, who gives a shit about your hands? There are bigger fish to fry." But, like always, I proved my own idiocy.
As a recent slave to lotion and the retail/corporate world, I found myself applying and applying this daintily sized hand cream at work. Shea Cashmere Hand Cream by True Blue Spa (you can find it at Bath & Body Works) transforms your hands, moisturizing them to a silky texture. However, unlike most self-proclaimed hand creams, this secret weapon does not leave your hands greasy. Just imagine what they'll do to chapped winter hands...you'll be petting yourself in awe and thinking about dusk summer nights when your skin was perfect and Rooney songs were the soundtrack in your head.
PROS: Travel size, gives you moisturized and smooth hands that you'll swear by, best product of anything like it
CONS: None...except if you abhor vanilla-y scents, you might not be a fan.
